Born in Chicago on October 18, 2000, Sophie Thatcher knew from an early age that she wanted to be an entertainer. Sophie Thatcher made her first film appearance in the 2018 movie Prospect, where she starred alongside Jay Duplass and Pedro Pascall. The movie is about a teenage girl and her father who travel to a distant moon to harvest gems. Unfortunately, things don’t go as planned, and the father-daughter pair find themselves fighting for their lives. Despite not being widely known, the movie received many favorable reviews and earned 89% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Tomorrow Man (2019)
Starring John Lithgow and Blythe Danner, The Tomorrow Man centers around two people living in a small town. Ed (Lithgow) is obsessed with disaster planning and is constantly trying to stock up on items. He eventually crosses paths with Ronnie (Danner), a woman who also has a compulsion for shopping, and the two form a bond. Although Thatcher’s role in the film was relatively small, it was still a great opportunity to work with some industry vets.
The Boogeyman (2023)
Set to be released on June 2, 2023, The Boogeyman is an on-screen adaptation of Stephen King’s short story of the same name. Thatcher will play Sadie Harper, a high school student who is struggling with the recent death of her mother. Sadie’s father, a therapist, inadvertently puts the family in harm’s way when an unhinged patient shows up at their house.

Chicago P.D. (2016)
Sophie Thatcher’s on-screen debut came in an episode of Chicago P.D. in which she played a character named Carolyn Clifford. The episode aired on January 13, 2016. As a Chicago native, being in the show was probably an extra special accomplishment.
The Exorcist (2016)
Many horror fans are familiar with the 1973 movie The Exorcist, but they may not be as familiar with the short-lived TV series of the same name. Lasting for just two seasons, The Exorcist acted as a direct sequel to the original film. Thatcher appeared in two episodes of the show as the younger version of Regan.
Chicago Med (2018)
In 2018, Thatcher earned another role in the Chicago universe in the medical drama Chicago Med. This time, however, she appeared in four episodes of the series as a character named Deb. She has not appeared in the show since 2018.
When the Streetlights Go On (2020)
This short-lived crime drama aired on the now-defunct streaming platform Quibi. Thatcher played a character named Becky Monroe. However, Becky was originally portrayed by Odessa Young in the pilot.
Yellowjackets (2021-Present)
Sophie Thatcher’s role in Yellowjackets is undoubtedly what she’s best known for. She plays one of the show’s main characters, the younger version of Natalie. The adult version of the character is played by Juliette Lewis. Yellowjackets follows the fictional story of a high school soccer team that was involved in a plane crash that left them stranded in the wilderness for a year and a half.
The Book of Boba Fett (2022)
Star Wars is easily one of the most well-known franchises in Hollywood, and Sophie Thatcher can say she’s been a part of it. She played Drash, leader of the cyborgs, in the TV series The Book of Boba Fett. The Show has been renewed for a second season, although it’s unclear when it will debut.
