The last few years have been a whirlwind (in a good way) for Rahne Jones. In 2022, she became the co-host of the MTV series Help! I’m In a Secret Relationship, where she works alongside Travis Mills to help people get to the bottom of why their partner is hiding their relationship from family and friends. The series is now in its second season, and it has continued to bring Rahne lots of attention. As a result, there are lots of people out there who would love to learn more about her. 1. She’s From Maryland
Rahne is originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, which is located just outside of Washington, D.C. She attended Paint Branch High School, where she graduated in 2005. She then went on to attend Radford University before transferring to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
2. She Was Named After Her Dad
Rahne is a pretty unique name, and you may be wondering where it came from. The answer is actually pretty simple. Rahne was named after her father, Ronnie. The two have a very close relationship.
3. She Likes to Travel
Rahne has gotten the chance to do lots of traveling over the years. She traveled to the UK in 2022 and did some sightseeing. In addition, she has visited places across the United States.
4. She’s An Actress
Some people may be surprised to find out that Help! I’m In a Secret Relationship wasn’t Rahne’s introduction to the entertainment industry. She actually made her on-screen debut in 2019 in the series The Politician, where she played Sky Leighton. She was also in one episode of the FX series Pose.
5. She’s Happily Married
Sorry to all the folks out there who were hoping to shoot their shot, but Rahne is officially off the market. She and her wife, Bridget Kelly, tied the knot in 2021. The couple had a beautiful ceremony at the Museum of the City of New York.
6. She Used to Work for Homeland Security
Working in the entertainment industry wasn’t Rahne’s first career path. After graduating from college, she earned a job with the US Department of Homeland Security, where she worked as an inspector. After four years, she decided to relocate to New York City to pursue her dream of becoming an actress.
7. Rahne Jones Was a Basketball Player
To say that Rahne is a woman of many talents would probably be a bit of an understatement. On top of her skills as an entertainer, Rahne is also a talented basketball player. Her skills earned her a full athletic scholarship when she attended Radford University. It doesn’t appear that she was on the basketball team when she transferred.
8. She Teaches History
Rahne may not work in a classroom, but she’s a teacher nonetheless. She is passionate about educating people about history. She has even started an Instagram page and YouTube Channel called After School History, where she posts mini-history lessons. Unfortunately, though, it’s been quite a while since she’s posted anything new.
9. She’s Passionate About Human Rights
Rahne is the kind of person who isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in, and that’s evident in everything she does. Human rights and social justice are two things she is extremely passionate about. Rahne has used her platform to highlight several important issues, including police brutality and violence, and discrimination against members of the LGBTQ+ community.
10. She Isn’t Afraid to Switch Up Her Hair
Hats are a signature part of Rahne’s style which means that there are a lot of people who have probably never seen her hair. For that reason, many may be surprised to know that Rahne once had very long hair. However, she has cut her hair several times over the years. Length isn’t the only thing she’s experimented with, though. Rahne has also worn a wide variety of hair styles and she’s never afraid to try something new.
